This T-shirt is a tribute to Beer Monster, that lovable, alcoholic Muppet who made us laugh and feel sick to our stomachs in the critically panned children's sitcom: Bum Alley. Beer Monster was often overshadowed by his loud, fat, slow-witted brother, Cookie Monster, (who, incidentally, became diabetic after years of popularity on the highly derivative show Sesame Street). But even his brother's continued success proved no match for Beer Monster's famed catchphrase, "Beer Me" (coined in episode two). His meteoric rise was cut short, however, when increased pressure from concerned parents caused the network execs to end Bum Alley after only one season. Beer Monster died of cirrhosis just 3 years later. Still, his legacy lives on. So next time you head to the local watering hole, put on this T-shirt and let Beer Monster do the talking.
